About This Video
Learn about drawing comic strips with Mr. Paul! This 10 minute video will introduce the basic principles of drawing a human face in a kid-friendly way. Viewers will learn comic art words like panel, beginning, middle, end, and punchline. We will start by designing our character(s) and thinking about their personality traits. Then we will develop our stories, sketch out our comic strip panels in pencil, and then add color!
During this video, we will also look at works by Maxfield Parrish, Faith Ringgold, and Mark Ryden for inspiration.
