Join artist Bernadette Renois for a mindful mark making class on Zoom. Class will be held on Tuesday June 10 from 5-7 pm PST / 8-10 pm EST. Each session is uniquely designed, offering fresh perspectives and experiences. There is no prerequisite to attend one session before another, allowing students to join at any time. Additionally, students who have taken the course previously will find great benefit in attending additional sessions, as each one explores different themes and approaches.
What is Mark Making?
Words we use often might be draw, doodle, sketch, scribble. This class is an invitation to soften your expectations, and practice meeting your Creative Self with patience and curiosity. Bernadette will use techniques from mindfulness meditation to explore our senses and inner conversation as we make marks. We will learn that each mark can be a valuable layer to our creative practice. These techniques will encourage us to keep art making accessible, give our Creative Self permission to make mistakes and get messy, and is an easy warm up for tackling bigger projects. This class focuses on process and complements all creative practices.
When you register, you will receive a pdf download that contains the Zoom link for this course.
This workshop will be recorded, and everyone who registers (whether you attend the live session or not) will receive the video afterward.
