Sunday, September 28th 3:30pm-6pm | Sunday, October 26th 2pm-4:30pm
Bonus: Sunday, October 26th 1:30pm OR 4:30pm - FREE 30-minute Junk Journal Check-in for ongoing students
Join artist Bernadette Renois for a junk journaling workshop. This workshop is available online or can be attended in person at Upside Down Abundance Studio in Seaside, CA (choose from the pull-down menu before purchasing). This class focuses on process and complements all creative practices.
A junk journal is a one-stop-shop for creative practice! In junk journaling, anything goes. A junk journal is a place to capture your ideas and value what inspires you. One of the perks to practicing creative decisions in a small book is getting to learn about composition and how to bring balance to a spread. You will get to play with color, perspective and mark making. Using a junk journal is a playful and accessible way to get to know your creative self.
We will focus on choosing the right book and prepping book pages, collecting and creating collage papers, and adding the first layers of collage and paint to our journals. Then we will add complementary collage and paint layers, and focus on finishing details. This session will invite you to find a creative flow and feel accomplished by finishing a spread.
