Do you want to learn to draw? This is the class for you!
Join artist Deb Burke for a lighthearted and gentle drawing class on Zoom. Class will be held Wednesdays from 4:00 - 6:00 pm PST / 7:00 - 9:00 pm EST.
Drawing is for everyone! Would you like to learn how to represent the world around you on paper? If you have a voice in your head telling you that you can't draw, this class is for you. Together, we will explore contour drawing, continuous line drawing and gesture drawing in addition to mark-making and shading. As well, we'll play with elements of design and composition. Each week, we will begin with warm-up exercises followed by the opportunity to create finished drawings that will delight you.
Deb's calming, supportive presence creates the perfect atmosphere for you to connect with your inner artist -- and with the other students. This class hosts a very warm, welcoming group of artists who encourage and inspire each other. Making art with community is what it's all about!

"It is a gift to have dedicated time to sketch and be in community with other artists. The exercises freed me to draw with an energy and spontaneity that surprised me. I found a connection between the act of sketching and my inner vibrancy that energized me." - Anne Ylvisaker
