Introduction to Portrait Painting
Join artist Paul Richmond for a fun and expressive portrait painting workshop in this pre-recorded two hour and fifty six minute video lesson. This will be a fun opportunity to try a variety of approaches to painting the portrait. We will start with a series of quick painted sketches and then work on a longer piece to allow more in-depth exploration. Developing your individual style/approach will be encouraged. No artistic experience is necessary!
When you purchase this course, you will receive a pdf containing the video link, as well as the photo references Paul uses in the demo so you can follow along.
These are the recommended materials for this workshop with links to Blick Art Materials. It isn't necessary that you have these exact brands, and you are welcome to work with other mediums if you'd prefer. The topics covered in this workshop can be practiced with any 2D medium of your choice.
