Back to Basics
12-2 pm PST / 3-5 pm EST
Join artists Paul Richmond and Melissa Forman for a class focused on the fundamentals of art making. This class will be held online for adults and teens 15 and older. Class will be held monthly on the second Saturday of each month starting in January 2022. The September class will be held on Saturday, September 10 and will focus on how to render fabrics and folds.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore the basics of drawing, painting, and the general art making process in order to create more successful pieces. This series of classes is for everyone - from beginners to more experienced artists - with an emphasis on exploring topics that tend to challenge artists across every experience level. As professional artists and teachers, Paul and Melissa have met many artists who commonly face a lot of the same issues when creating their art. Learn how to master those struggles and add refinement and polish to your work. It’s never too late to get back to basics!
When you register, you will receive a pdf download that contains the Zoom link for this course. Art supply suggestions will be sent out to registered students at least one week prior to class. You are not required to use the exact same materials as us - feel free to use any art supplies you would like. You are also welcome to just observe the class if you'd prefer.
These classes will be recorded, and everyone who registers (whether you attend the live sessions or not) will receive the videos.
