Description

Join artist Paul Richmond for a fun and expressive portrait painting workshop for adults and teens 15 and older. This virtual workshop will be a fun opportunity to try a variety of approaches to painting the portrait. We will start with a series of quick painted sketches and then work on a longer piece to allow more in-depth exploration. Developing your individual style/approach will be encouraged. No artistic experience is necessary!

Materials

These are the recommended materials for this workshop with links to Blick Art Materials. It isn't necessary that you have these exact brands, and you are welcome to work with other mediums if you'd prefer. The topics covered in this workshop can be practiced with any 2D medium of your choice.

• 3 small canvas boards or stretched canvases (8" x 10")

• One larger canvas board or stretched canvas (11" x 14" or bigger)

• Oil paints, medium (may also substitute acrylic paint)

• Brushes, palette knife, and palette
