Description

Join popular children’s book author-illustrator Jane Smith for a fun, freestyle character design workshop for adults and teens age 15+! Participants will be guided through a series of drawing exercises designed to get the creative juices flowing and unlock the storytelling potential of your doodles. Exercises will range from quick brainstorms to more involved drawings. Students will have the opportunity to share, ask questions and dream on the page. Developing your own individual style/approach is encouraged! No artistic experience necessary! 

Materials

Students will need a sketchbook or drawing paper + drawing materials of their choice. Recommended options include (but are not limited to!): drawing pencils, colored pencils, drawing pens or copic markers. Additional (totally!) optional art supply bonuses: tracing paper, grid or graph paper, light box
